Hamburg

Join us as Lead Game Designer on our existing and

upcoming games!

At Twin Harbour Interactive we strive to develop high-quality strategy games and make them accessible for all players around the world. In our eyes game development is a promise for fun and entertainment – that’s what we live and aim for!

As a Lead Game Designer, you empower your team and support the Head of Product in building and growing the game, and building a more collaborative work environment. You bridge the gap between game vision and day-to-day design decisions, translating different perspectives into actionable work. You stay hands-on with the craft and help your team navigate the constant balance between ideal design and real constraints.

The Supremacy Franchise has reached over 90 million players lifetime, with 2.2 million monthly active users and 300,000+ concurrent commanders in peak campaigns. Our mission: deliver best-in-class strategy worlds that challenge, engage, and reward players over weeks, months, and years. You'll be leading design for one of four live titles: Supremacy: 1914, Supremacy: Call of War 1942, Supremacy: WW3, or Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000. Each game serves its own community, and you'll coordinate with other Leads across the Franchise to share learnings and maintain strategic alignment. Your game is your focus. The Franchise is your context. You own design leadership for your title while staying connected to the broader vision.

YOUR MISSION

  • Lead and Develop Your Team: Manage, mentor, and grow Game Designers through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development. Work with the Head of Department to build a collaborative environment where each designer's capabilities grow over time.
  • Articulate and Communicate Vision: Translate high-level creative direction into clear, actionable design documentation. Make sure everyone understands how their work connects to the game vision. Keep your team aligned and fully informed about broader goals. When things change, communicate clearly and help people stay on track.
  • Stay Hands-On With Design: Build prototypes, write feature specs, participate in playtests, and iterate on designs alongside your team. Lead by example and stay connected to the craft.
  • Navigate Compromises and Constraints: Balance ideal design with reality. Adjust scope, shift priorities, manage risk, and make tough calls when timelines, resources, or technical limitations require it. Help your team work through these tradeoffs while protecting quality and vision.
  • Drive Data-Informed Iteration: Use metrics, player feedback, and live data to shape design decisions. Build a culture where iteration based on evidence is standard practice.
  • Think Strategically About Game Health: Consider long-term impacts - technical debt, scalability, how live updates affect player experience over time. Help your team balance immediate business needs with sustainable game development.
  • Bridge Disciplines: Work as the primary contact for Tech, Art, QA, and Production. Make sure designs are technically feasible and artistically cohesive. Talk with stakeholders to understand the full implications of design decisions.
  • Build Ownership and Enable Growth: Create clarity around responsibilities and support accountability within your team. Resolve misalignments before they become problems. Help individuals identify meaningful development paths, build systems that normalize feedback, and make sure learning happens regularly.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Demonstrated track record working on live titles or strategy games. You've shipped products, supported them post-launch, and understand the unique challenges of live operations.
  • Strong design competence as a generalist who understands how different disciplines connect to create a cohesive player experience. You can speak knowledgeably with specialists in areas like system design, economy and monetization, balance, or UX/UI.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow designers. You've built collaborative environments and developed people's skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can articulate complex ideas clearly and create alignment across teams.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with hybrid, remote, and multi-location game development teams.
  • Passion for grand strategy titles and a track record managing design for games with long-term player engagement.
  • Passion for PvP strategy titles, and the ability to consider both the competitive demographic and the casual demographic during the design process.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our distributed Data Platform team, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytical solutions that empower game studios, hubs (marketing, ad monetization, finance), and strategic projects across the group.

  • Monitor data quality, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement long-term improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Build advanced data tools, automations, and internal utilities in Python — from small scripts to complex engineering solutions — to support analytics, pipeline reliability, and internal workflows

NICE TO HAVE

  • Exposure to CI/CD and version control (Git) in a data context

  • Familiarity with event tracking, product analytics, or experimentation frameworks

Data, Analytics & Data Platform
San Ġiljan

Goodgame Studios is building a new cross-platform 4X strategy game, and we believe the first time user experience (FTUE) defines its long-term success. To achieve this, we are creating a FTUE-Strike Team – a cross-functional unit of Product, Marketing, Design, and Art – owning the full user journey from first ad impression to Day 3 in-game.

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be the marketing engine and owner inside this Strike Team. Your mission is to ensure an engaging, seamless and fun user journey. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will directly influence the product's design, marketability and scale. Later you will build the marketing team that takes us to global launch.

You will design and execute early marketing tests, lead UA strategy, and partner closely with Product and Design to deliver the “What You See Is What You Get” principle in every player touchpoint.

YOUR MISSION

Phase 1: Product & Market Fit (Development)
  • Lead the FTUE Strategy from Marketing perspective: Define and own the user-centric strategy from the ad promise to Day 3 retention, focusing on acquisition, onboarding, and early engagement.
  • Define and segment core and potential target audiences, as well as understand their player behavior and motivations through data analytics & user research.
  • Design and execute A/B tests across narratives, creatives, and early gameplay. Develop playable ad concepts and in-game variations to identify highest performing concepts. Ensure a strict "What You See Is What You Get" principle. Work directly with Product and Game Design to ensure seamless alignment between marketing and in-game experience.
  • Conduct marketability tests to validate strategic design decisions (e.g., art style, landscape vs. portrait) and identify core target audiences.
  • Define, monitor, and iterate on key funnel KPIs (IPM, conversion, D1/D3 retention, LTV, ROAS). Work hands-on with the tracking analyst and data teams to validate test setups, avoid bias, and ensure trustworthy KPIs.
  • Build scalable UA foundations and reporting frameworks for later growth phases. Partner with central Stillfront marketing units and vendors to access best-in-class data, tech, and creative support.
Phase 2: Scale & Launch (Soft Launch)
  •  Go-To-Market: Develop and execute a comprehensive paid, earned, and owned channel marketing strategy and CRM/community strategy.
  • Softlaunch: Define and execute a soft launch strategy with the product core team including communication, social media, launch announcements, trailers, store relations and building excitement.
  • Positioning: Develop product positioning and brand narratives.
  • Build the Engine: Establish scalable UA foundations, reporting frameworks, ASO, and creative production pipelines.
  • Lead for Global: Starting mid-2026, build and lead a dedicated marketing team to ramp up activities for the global launch. Plan and execute the global launch with this team.

YOUR BACKSTORY

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing for free-to-play mobile games.
  • Proven success in user-centric product marketing, creative testing, playable ad design, and early-market validation.
  • Deep understanding of conversion funnels and the critical link between creative promise and early gameplay.
  • Solid understanding of campaign setup and optimization in Facebook ads, Google Ads, AppLovin and other standard networks in mobile marketing.
  • Hands-on mentality, there is no UA team to start with (but central teams to support if needed).
  • Experience with tracking and attribution systems (e.g., MMPs, Adjust, AppsFlyer, Firebase).
  • Strong analytical mindset with solid skills in Google Sheets/Excel, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Familiar with A/B testing, cohort analysis, and campaign performance evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills – comfortable working side by side with Product and Design.
  • Fluent in English; German is welcome but not required.
  • Experience with building and leading a marketing team is a plus.

WHY JOIN US?

  • Shape the marketing–product bridge for a new 4X strategy title from day one.
  • Be part of the FTUE-Strike Team, a unique unit with 100% ownership of the user journey from ad impression to Day 3.
  • Drive creative testing, ad production, and data-driven UA strategy within a senior, cross-functional environment.
  • Collaborate directly with the Game Director, Monetization Lead, and Creative teams to define what players see and feel.
  • Enjoy fully remote or hybrid in Hamburg/Germany flexibility, competitive benefits, and long-term career opportunities.

Data, Analytics & Data Platform
San Ġiljan

Goodgame Studios are building a new cross-platform 4X strategy game on top of a proven large-scale foundation (ROFB engine with Unity client + Java backend). To ensure long-term success, we are looking for a Senior Analyst In-game Economy who will act as the data authority for all progression, monetization, and retention systems.

  • Deliver deep-dive analyses on progression speed, resource flows, sinks/faucets, combat performance, and monetization funnels.
  • Build and run simulation models to project the impact of system changes; provide estimates and scenario outcomes for proposed designs and balancing updates.
